What is Pop Art?

In simple terms, pop art is a movement that celebrates popular culture. It was born in the 1950s as a response to the increasing commercialism of society and the rise of mass media. Artists like Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein took everyday objects and images and transformed them into works of art, often using bright colors and stark contrasts.
